Data Scientist

Job Description
Are you excited about digging through data to look for hidden value? CléMetric is seeking for 2 Data Scientists that have a demonstrated foundation in modeling, statistics, operations research, computer science and applications, math, and business acumen. Candidates will explore and examine data from multiple disparate sources to address business problems and pick the solutions that have the most value to the organization. They will extract, transform, and combine all incoming data with the goal of discovering a hidden insight to recommend ways to apply the data.

Modeling and mining large data-sets using technologies such as programming language (R), Matlab, Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), Statistical Analysis System (SAS), Hive, Java, C++, or another object-oriented language. Experience in different mining techniques to find associations, correlations, evidence, inferences, clusters for big data analytics is key to perform the required job responsibilities. Hands-on experience needed in agile data analytics experiments and creation/deployment of models and algorithm to analyze text, sensor, social, machine, streaming, large-volume structured and unstructured data.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate on compelling new analytical reporting, products and features for our clients that enable data-driven decision making.
  • Manage large amounts of data within the domain of hardware, software and bandwidth constraints.
  • Translate the understanding into well engineered and easy to maintain data concepts.
  • Question existing assumptions and processes.
  • Develop innovative experimental design and measurement methodologies.
  • Find and interpret data rich sources, merge data together, ensure data consistency.


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 6 months experience in machine learning models
  • At least 1 year experience in statistics
  • At least 6 months experience in programming language (R), R-Studio


  • Doctorate Degree in Computer Science
  • At least 1 year experience in programming language (R), R-Studio

Software Engineer

Job Description
The candidates will work on design, development and real-time evaluation of big data management infrastructure for structured/unstructured data analytics in the context of predictive applications in the general area of healthcare and big data growth. Will also be expected to identify useful open source technologies and leverage and adapt them to solve technical issues that arise in the big data management aspect of the projects to which they are assigned.


  • Solid experience in Python, Java, C++, or another object-oriented language
  • Spatial temporal data management
  • Data Extract, Transform, Load (ETL), distributed data stores
  • Query languages (e.g. SQL, Hive)
  • Linux & Windows systems​

Preferred Experience

  • Scalable analytics algorithms
  • Development experience in a team work environment
  • PostgreSQL, Hadoop, MongoDB, etc
  • Distributed computing and/or cloud computing
  • SQL and NoSQL frameworks
  • Data integration from disparate data sources
  • Knowledge of Spark, Hama or Gora


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 2 years experience in application development
  • At least 1 months experience in programming language (R), R-Studio


  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science
  • At least 1 year experience in programming language Java, C++, or another object-oriented language
